NBWFC Awards
In 2022, NBWFC introduced two new awards, to be given out annually, which will recognize the hard work and dedication of its members. There are plaques for each reward on which the annual winner’s names will be inscribed as a way to recognize them for the future. Below are the awards, details, and recipients.
NBWFC Superintendent Award
The NBWFC Superintendent award is given annually to the crew member who demonstrates a exceptional dedication, work ethic, and commitment to making the crew stronger. The recipient is someone who has improved the crew through their efforts - be it on the fire line, in an admin role, or both - and sets an example of what it means to be a NBWFC firefighter.

Paul was known as a “student of fire” and developed the LCES concept that has become the modern foundation of firefighter safety. An incredible leader and role model, this award is in honor of his legacy and lasting impact on the fire service.
